Hand Made Hunting Knives
The blades of these knives are made from L6 - High Carbon Steel. This is a special steel that comes from commercial
saw blades, a high grade spring steel that is heat, bend, and stress resistant. It is hardened to 58 on the Rockwell Scale, has
been work tempered and will hold a very sharp edge. The blades are cut out of the recycled saw blade and shaped, then ground by a flat grind method. These knives are
meant to be used, hence the blades are not highly polished. The hand grinding marks are left on purpose showing that these
blades have been handmade. Our goal in making knives is to make the best and most useful knives available anywhere.
The best American made knife design, steel, wood, the sharpest, simply the BEST. American Craftsmanship is scarce today and a well made knife is both a thing of beauty and a piece of functional
collectable artwork. Jason M. Bundy hand picks rare and unusual pieces of different Indiana hardwoods and makes the handles. Each knife
comes with a fine handmade leather sheath and includes a bottle of custom honing oil and a small fine grained honing stone
to keep your knife razor sharp. Wiping with a light layer of 3-In-One Oil after each use is recommended. Over 100 years of
combined field experience and knowledge has gone into the making of these fine knives. With proper care they will last a lifetime. Mouse over the images below to preview the type of wood for the handle of your custom made knife.
Only the most unique and beautiful pieces of hardwood are selected. The special stains and finishes used have been developed in our shop. 01 Curly Maple Brown- traditional, burnished dark like old muzzleloading rifles.
