A Christmas Story

In the 1800’s American Chestnut was plentiful in eastern North America considered one of the most important forest trees.  A Connecticut barn was built from Chestnut and still stands today. The family converted it to a workshop.  A chestnut barn beam was replaced, and brought to Bundy Ducks by a family member and I carved it into a Canvasback Duck Decoy.  Now what served for over a century as part of a barn sits under their Christmas Tree in Indiana as a family treasure.  Merry Christmas!
